ATTN EAGLES: This is Winter Homecoming Week! All students will have an opportunity to vote for the next Senior Winter King & Queen during both lunches TODAY. Voting will take place in the outdoor amphitheater. Your Senior Winter Court consists of the following people:

King Candidates:  Marcelo Felix, Timothy Gutierrez, and Milton Laguna

Queen Candidates: Veronica Boothe, Karissa Magana, and Belle Pearson

The winners based on tomorrow’s voting will be unveiled at the Winter Homecoming Assembly in the gym on Friday, 1/26. Also, at the assembly, the Southwest Duke & Duchess will be presented to Eagle Country.  Also, show off your Purple & Gold pride & go the boys' varsity home basketball game vs. Central this evening.!!

ATTN EAGLE STUDENT SCHOLARS: TODAY, 1/23, and Thursday, 1/26, your ASB will be honoring the 1st Semester Eagle Dean's List with ice cream socials in the MPR during Advisory! Our Eagle's Dean's List are all those students that earned a weighted 3.5+ GPA. The Underclassmen (frosh/soph) Social will be on TODAY’S Advisory & the Upperclassmen (jr./sr.) Social will be on Thursday's Advisory. Teachers & students, a list of all 588 students was emailed to the faculty.

Congratulations to all those students who made the 1st Semester Eagle Dean's List!!

ATTN STUDENTS: If you are behind on credits, low gpa or simply want a smaller setting and get a fresh new start for 2nd Semester, Desert Oasis High School might be an alternative for you to graduate with a WASC accredited high school diploma. Please call 760-336-4555 to make an appointment or see Mr. Rubio or your counselor for more information. Last day to Volunteer Transfer will be February 2nd, 2018. (24, 25, 26, 30, 31, 1)

ATTN EAGLES TRAVEL CLUB:  Meeting this Thursday, Jan 25th at 3:25 PM in room I-51. Please be prompt. (23, 24, 25)

ATTN SPRING SPORTS ATHLETES: Clearance for spring sports begins next Monday, Jan. 29th so pick up your packets this week at the ASB office.

ATTN BASEBALL PLAYERS: Everyone who would like to play baseball this year, meeting in room F 31 this Thursday, January 25th immediately after school. (23, 24, 25)

ATTN SWIM: There will be a mandatory meeting this Thursday, Jan. 25 for anyone interested in swimming for Southwest this spring in room P78 immediately after school. Coach Cervantes. (23, 24, 25)

ATTN AP STUDENTS: You can start reserving your AP Exam at the ASB Office.  Cost is $94.00 per exam.  Fee waiver forms are available at the ASB Office upon request.  Deadline to pay and reserve the AP Exam is Friday, March 9th.  Questions stop by the ASB Office or see Karla Lopez, AP Coordinator in the counseling office. ATTN POWDER PUFF: First practice will be this Thursday, January 25th.  Be at the JV Softball field at 6:30pm.  You may wear cleats (no metal).  All Powder Puff Cheerleaders will practice that day as well.  Meet in the water basin area near gym at 6PM. Sell your tickets and turn in money to the ASB office no later than this Friday, January 26th. Any questions see Mrs. Saikhon. (23, 24, 25)



ATTN ALL SENIORS: Grad Nite payment of $70.00 is coming due on January 30th.  Questions stop by the ASB office. (24, 25, 26)

ATTN WINTER TRACK AND FIELD CONDITIONING: If you are not in a winter sport and would like to begin conditioning for Track and Field meet Coach Harrington in the weight room Monday and Wednesday at 4:45.Questions, see Coach Becker in P-82 before or after school.

ATTN FALL 2018 FOOTBAL PLAYERS: Football Has Started Lifting. We start at 6:30 am in the weight Room. All prospective Football Players need to be there.

ATTN JUNIOR & SENIOR FEMALES: Girls State 2018 is accepting applications from girls with a 3.0+ total GPA, are active in extra-curricular activities and complete an essay on, “What does Americanism Mean to Me”, due Monday, February 5, 2018, please include your contact phone #. Selected students will be interviewed by a committee of women from the American Legion Auxiliary and then may be nominated for Girls State 2018. Questions, please visit the Counseling Office.

ATTN FALL SPORTS ATHLETES:  If you purchased Fall Sports pictures, they are in.  Pick-up at the ASB Office before school, during both lunches and after school, also pick-up school pictures, senior portraits and panoramic pictures.  PLEASE DO NOT COME DURING CLASSTIME!!!
