Central Union High School District Policies

Our school and district discipline policies and procedures are designed to promote positive behavior, accountability, and a strong sense of community. These guidelines help ensure a fair and consistent approach to addressing behavioral expectations, supporting students in making responsible choices and fostering a positive school climate.

School Tardy Policies

1st Tardy-Written Warning (teacher action logged)

2nd Tardy-Phone call home by teacher

3rd Tardy-Written Warning by Teacher

4th Tardy-Referral to office, 1 day ISS at Lunch and parent contact

5th Tardy-Referral to office, 3 days ISS at Lunch and parent contact

6th Tardy-Referral to office, 6 days ISS at Lunch and parent contact

7th Tardy-Referral to office, 2 weeks ISS at lunch, parent contact

8th Tardy and beyond-Parent conference, increased ISS and possible referral to SARB/DAHP

Cell Phone & Other Electronic Device Use During Class Time

1ST Offense Referral, student must come into office to pick up item

2nd Offense Referral, parent must come into office to pick up item,

3rd offense  Referral, parent must pick up item in office, item could be kept for 1 week

4th offense  Referral, item kept for 1 week and 1 hr. immediate ISS, Parent must come into pick up item

5th offense and beyond – Parent conference with administrator, consequence to be determined at that time
